But if that's not for you Timanfaya is a must and I'd recommend the Cesar Manrique Foundation, the caves and Mirador del Rio.
Thank you both for your suggestions. The tours seem reasonably priced. The downside of hiring a car is parking the damn thing . More so in PDC with all the roadworks.
I would actually recommend hiring a car, you can see a lot more and a lot cheaper. But if that's not for you Timanfaya is a must
Totally agree with that. Parking has never been a problem in my experience.
Read a book on Cesar Manrique and his works and then hire a car and visit all his works and his house. His sheer genius and ability to provide buildings in the sides of cliffs and on top of volcanoes, allowing us to view the wonders of the island without destroying the surrounding landscapes is amazing.
Does anyone know how much it would cost in a taxi from PDC to the CT market?
from pdc it must be 35-40euros(possibly more) each way in a taxi, might be better to get the bus and also a lot cheaper. Better still if you can hire a car its so much easier to get about the island.
Jaspars at the San Antonio end of the strip do a reasonably priced trip to Teguise market which includes Sunday Lunch.
Ooo I didnt even know there were two different places!! Glad I posted now! Thanks
