from all i can remember, the coach companies all seem to stop travelling after the winter half term -in november- except for the christmas/new year period, and then they start up again around easter.
have you considered getting the train.
you can get good deals on eurostar and the hgv. my mate does this quite regularly to montpelier and the prices he gets are about £100 return, but they are special fares

HGV sounds like standing at the side of the motorway with a wee cardboard sign hoping some lorry driver picks you up
