- going to hotel nestor in sept 09 - i have requested a high floor - can anyone tell me what the rooms are like and do they all have a sea or pool view - if not what rooms have the best of the sun and views.
what room numbers are the best.
thanks
Rooms nice and clean, bit smaller than some but the three of us manage just fine.
Rooms at the back overlook the pool, the ones at the front overlook the road and other hotels, which is very quiet. You can see the sea if you look sideways. We usually ask for a room at the front because the sun is round the back in the afternoon and when we get back from the pool we like to sit on the balcony in the shade. There are also rooms at the side which have much bigger balconies, but this is not always a good thing and you don't have a fab view from there. Apparently if you have a room overlooking the pool it can get noisy in the evening because of the bar etc. I think the room we had last year was 132 which was fine and I think the higher up the better, cos views can be good from there, but highest we have been is the 2nd floor I think.
We stayed here 2 years ago and had a room at the front overlooking the road and had a good view of the sea. We were 2nd floor, think it was room 236 but not 100% sure. There were 3 adults in the room and although sometimes it could get a bit cramped ( 3 girls fighting for the hair straighteners ect lol ) there was enough room. We stayed b&b and loved the breakfasts! This year we're going AI at Sancta Napa which is just over the road from Nestor.
There were 4 of us, 2 adults and two boys of 12 and 9. we thought the rooms were small, and did in fact ask at reception if we could get a bigger room but were told that we were in a family room and that was as big as they got! We were all in one room as opposed to a seperate bedroom which we would have thought a family room would have had.
We were on the fith floor and overlooked the small supermarket which is just to the left of the front of the hotel. My only worry was the fact that the balcony rail was only about waist high and there was a fifty foot drop down to the concrete below. Needles to say the boys were NOT allowed out on the balcony!
On a positive, the breakfast was good and so was the pool area and we had a great two weeks there.
Hope you do too, enjoy
Regards, Julian
