From Didim you can get the dolmus, this would be your easiest option. If going by car, then make your way to the hospital near the new market and Yesilkent Road is directly beside it. Can't really comment on the beach at Yesilkent but I think you will be okay.

yes the beach is to die for if that is if its not windy, i have been about 5 times now and i cannot complain, there is also a little cafe/restraunt thats not badly priced, the water is crystal clear and so shallow for at least 10feet if not more, they call it paradise bay and yes it is beautifull,it also has a few water sports like canoes and kiyaks (sp) pedlos etc,it realy is a lovely beach if you catch a not so windy day, my mum has the cafe number and rings to see if its windy befor we go and they even come and pick us up and take us back for 30 lira and its an hours drive there n back, there isnt much there though and a lot of turkish people use it, have a nice time xx

Yeah we have brought our 4 year old and 2 year old to the funfair in Altinkum, they love it.Cant get them off the trampoline's!Would you have any other suggestions for days out, picnics, other nice beaches to visit? What about Akbuk? We have a car booked for the duration (17 nights) so can get around.A much further place we had recommended was Mazikoy but it looks a good two hour drive so with the kids I'd be hesitant.Prefer some slightly closer spots to explore.
Cheers!

Akbuk has two lovely beaches, one is off the end of the marina. Journey time is approximately 20 minutes. There are some nice places to eat there also, we went in Ali Babar, thoroughly enjoyable.
