How much is taxi transfer from the airport to the le meridian hotel roughley can any one recommend a good taxi
I've just booked my first holiday to Sharm for about two weeks time. What is the situation like for transport to hotels? Should I book one in advance or is easy to get a taxi from the airport?
It is very easy to get a taxi from the airport if you are up to haggling like crazy! Personally, I would contact your hotel and get them to arrange a pick up for you, at an agreed price, of course.
I Pre-booked transfers with our holiday company, and was charged approx 120 pounds, return. When we arrive it only took us about 10-15 mins to get to the hotel, a journey that we could have got for about 30 pound return or less. We are due to go again this year and this time we'll just get a taxi at the airport. It's that simple.
I got in touch with our hotel as suggested and they arranged it for me.
We contacted them via info@sheikhsalemhouse.com - We booked a transfer from Sharm to Nuweiba for 9 people, we paid LE450 each way. They were extremely helpful and the transport was punctual.
We would definitely use them again and I would highly recommend them.

We are 3 girls off to Egypt at the end of this month. We fly into Sharm el Sheikh and are staying at the Amarante Garden Palms in Naama Bay. We havent booked transfers as we thought it would be cheaper and quicker to jump in a taxi when we arrive. Does anyone know what we should be paying for this as I know you have to agree your price beforehand. Dont want to get ripped off! Any advice would be appreciated
Probably about a fiver would be the correct fare but you would have to be very firm and discipline yourselves to get it . Wouldnt surprise me if you get quoted anything from £20-£30 . Dont pay it and dont let any of the taxi drivers start putting your cases on their roof racks until you have agreed a price . If you cant do it for a fiver dont pay more than £10. Just look like you know what you are doing and be firm
thats great thank you for your quick reply. I remember from my last trip to Egypt the hoard of men waiting to help with the suitcases! It was a good while ago so couldnt recall costs for the transfer. Thanks for the advice, one less thing to worry about!
am i better booking transfers from airport to resort before we come away or just get a taxi we are staying at the tropican azure club hotel insharm
Pre-book with your hotel or try Charm of Sharm. We used them last year to the LTI Grand Azure and it cost £20 return for a mini-bus for the four of us.
