We're off to Turkey on 19th August staying at the Royal Asarlik in Gumbet and we have never been before so have a few questions:
~ Are there any family excursions from Gumbet worth doing? I've seen a previous post for some from other area's but wondered if there was anything more local or if in fact, we are close enough to do excursions from other area's.
~ Should we take sterling or lira? I have been told that they like sterling as they keep it until the end of season and exchange it when the rates are more favourable, but I could see me getting very confused if that is the case.....doesn't take much

~ How do prices in Turkey compare to other area's? We've just come back from Beni which was unbelievable, cost wise and we're trying to work out what we will need. 3 of us, looking to do a couple of excursions, water park and buy a few genuine fake's possibly. I know everyone's spending habits are different but we are staying AI and as it's our second hol we will be eating at the hotel most nights, so I hope the foods nice!!

~ My parents will no doubt want cigarettes, where is the best place to get these from and what can I expect to pay?
~ Lastly, but most importantly, where would you recommend going for a turkish bath? I've heard some of the hotel ones on offer are not as good as the traditional ones....and I would really like to have one

A few questions I know, but any pointers would be gratefully received

Hopefully I won't pass out in the market like my friend did, I love the sun but it does not love me unfortunately!
Thanks in advance.....em x
