The day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday and is when the shops have their biggest sales with many of them opening at 4am.

Apart from some supermarkets, convenience stores, most all shopping is closed on Thanksgiving day- after that it is every man for himself......

I am from the states and have been to Orlando for Thanksgiving week.

If you are planning on going to the parks, it will be a busy week! A lot of schools in the states have that entire week off and families will go out on the Saturday before and come home on the following Saturday/Sunday. The weather is better, not as hot.

So, if you are ok with crowds at the park, you will be fine. But, if you are looking at non crowded parks, choose the week before or the week after. The week after you will have all the Christmas decorations which can be very nice.
