hya all!! In the past i`ve taken £sterling travellers cheques to Kos, because the Hotels/exchange prefered them and we got a better rate compared to Euro cheques.
The euro is now stronger against the Pound so am I better taking Euro cheques???

I'm off on Tuesday and taking all Euros and my card. I pop them in the safe. We've never really like Euro travellers cheques, we always got charged in resort for changing them.

I take my prepaid Euro mastercard, top it up online before i go at a decent rate (got 1.2575 last week) and then draw cash out of the machine over there,.. flat fee of Euro1.50 per withdrawal (always take out 300 so works out 0.5% commission). I find it miles better than travellers cheques and better than carrying loads of cash

your lucky so do we but only flights we could get for october were to Zakinthos good job i like there as well [mabe not quite as much but its still greece]

I have also been wondering about what money to take with us to Kos in September, most people have advised to take Euro Cash & card.

over the years we have found that we can usualy get a better rate in resort for sterling cash than in the uk, it may only be 1or 2 points but every little helps

Been to KOS, Took Euros and Sterling travellers cheques. Got between 1.22 and 1.25 so not bad.
Had the usual good time I thought prices were same as last year and I think the Greek people are as
concerned as us about the cost of our holiday expense.

Last year didn`t seem bad, in fact would say everything reasonably priced.
I thought taxi fares were varied for same trip to Kos town. They think of a number and double it I think.

Rocky where and when are you going to Tingaki, we are going 10th sept for a week, not been since sept 2008.
