Has anyone stayed at the Tej Marhaba recently. I am booked there in November.
The latest review on trip advisor is not reassuring, and I am getting worried.

I am going with an open mind. I have read most of the reviews and they seem to be mainly positive. However, I am also aware that standards can drop.
The road that you have to cross to get to the beach sounds pretty scary in most reviews, don't seem to be any zebra crossings or traffic lights from what I have read.

There are pedestrian crossings, clearly marked 'prioritie aux pietons' (sorry my French is a bit rusty) but these are mostly ignored by the locals. The secret is to look for a gap, or to catch the driver's eye and simply hold your hand up and walk out. I remember seeing an elderly black-clad granny hovering on the side of the road near the Soula Centre. I offered her my arm, raised my hand to the traffic and we crossed safely with not a word being exchanged between us. The Corniche (the road facing the sea) is one-way, which does make it a bit easier.
Thanks for letting me know Aslemma. I feel reassured.
