hey about 2 months ago we booked flights to malaga planning to stay in an mate's of our's house . Since then he has pulled out we are no longer able to stay there . we are now accommodationless . We are students just looking for a good time ... what city on the coast is the best for the night life and ia cheap ? anyone know of any low star apartments/accommodation to rent ?

Think Benalmadena would suit you guys, loads to do, clubs-bars disco's etc..there is a Hostel in Arroyo del Miel, called Hostal Sol, just goggle & sure you will find more.. 
Do not know of a Hostal Sol in Arroyo. Could it be you have got it half right and it is actually called Hostal Sol Y Miel?

You can try Nerja, I heard they have good small apartments and villas there. Good luck!
