We stayed at the Limak in May. Our daughter was nearly 13. The pools are massive, so she enjoyed those although shes not as interested now she is older. There were a group of young lads and they seemed to enjoy thereselves, I suppose it all depends who is there. They also did shooting for the teens.
We too a portable DVD player which we plugged in the TV, a small laptop would fit in the safe too.
It is difficult to choose, we were unsure for holiday 2009, but have gone for the Susesi in Belek.
We are also going to the Susesi in belek next july, it looks superb!! We must have similar tastes!
I've even started looking at all the other places around europe.
OK any other people here have any ideas where to go for next August (must be all inclusive and have plenty for my son to do, also don't want the rowdy element).
4 star or 5 star will do as long as it's not to expensive.
Cheers
Well the best place would be Lykia World near Olu Deniz, via Dalaman. It's 'full board plus' not AI though. But you couldn't find anywhere better for a teenager!
Booked for end June 2009 for 2 adults and one 13yr old £2256 for 2 weeks.
Thanks for all the responses on this thread, I will do a write up on my holiday.
Thanks CW
We went to the Limak Lara Deluxe last August and it was FANTASTIC - we wanted to go again this year but we couldn't get booked up for the dates we wanted
The Lara Beach Resort Hotel is not part of the Limak chain and I cannot tell you anything about it.
We have stayed at several hotels in the Lara Beach and Belek areas and the Limak Lara Delux is by far the best in our opinion.
We ended up booking the Club Voyage Select in Belek this year.
So ..... if it is the Limak Lara Deluxe you have booked, I am sure you will not be disappointed. If you want any more detail ... just ask.
Best regards
Lorraine
There is only the one Limak hotel in lara, so it will be the same hotel! The lara beach hotel is not in the limak chain!
Fantastic hotel, we went in August 2007 and have booked to go back at easter 2010
Our holiday at the RW is getting closer. We are really excited. However we planned to go with friends and now they cannot afford to go away.
Others we know at school are going in crowds. We thought we may meet up with a few of them but they said that because each hotel does not allow outside guests to come in or if they do they cannot eat or drink without paying (obviously not fair to other guests) everyone tends to stay in their own hotel where they have paid for the all inclusive.
Our best policy is therefore to make some friends at the Royal Wings. We will probably not find it hard to do so but would be keen to find out if anyone on holiday truths will be there at the same time.
I know of one family so hope to meet up to say hello at least.
If anyone sees this message between now and 11th August, please drop me a quick line/message.
Best regards
Nina
(Our sons are 6 & 9)
You are right in thinking it will be hard to meet up in the hotels because of the AI concept. The RW doesn't use wristbands but the other hotels do of varying colours. We met a family there, and she and I sneaked into the Delphin Palace from the beach, covering our wrists lol, of course we didn't want to use their facilities but only have a nose as my mum and dad had stayed there. Luckily we weren't stopped but I wouldn't really advise it as there were alot of staff around, God only knows what could have happened, lol, if we had of been found.
You can, according to the rep, ask them and they can arrange an accompanied visit if you're really interested in looking around another hotel on 'the strip' but you may prefer to be a little more relaxed.
There is no problem meeting up on the beach though with others from neighboroughing hotels.
Hope we meet some nice people. As I have never heard of anyone at school or friends going to RW we we are ready for just a few Brits only. I will put my message on a RW thread to see if anyone answers.
Did you come across any markets? People often come home and tell us they have been but cannot remember who and where they went.
Regards
CW
Having stayed at the fantastic Limak Lara at end of June 2008 we would like to go back at end of June 2010. Our last trip to the Limak Lara cost around £2100 for 2 adults and 1 child for 2 weeks but the best quote I've got so far for next year is £2800!! Has anyone found any bargains or know where best prices can be found? I don't mind paying the price we've been quoted if that's what it takes but would hate to be paying over the odds.
