Whilst I endorse the sentiment - I am finding bright red on a pale lemon background really hard on the eyes. Seem to remember on a previous format we had an option to remove a snow effect. Is there a way I can personalise to remove/tone down all the red as I don't want to have to wait until 12th november to be able to comfortably browse HT

Hi,if you read posts "thought it was a holiday forum" somebody tells you how to change it,T.
You can revert to the usual theme by selecting User Control Panel (top right hand corner), then Board Preferences (left hand column), and change My Board Style from Remembrance to SubSilver2, and finally click Submit.
