Bunny has also opened a resturaunt in the Gamonal area.
There are two other acts, Shurly Von Claptrap and Charity Case. I dont know where they appear.
His old place is now run by Terri Fox another grag act and by all accounts a very good one.
Charity Case appears in Montemar at the Rose & Crown.
Shurly Von Claptrap, was just a one off for charity , and not a regular act...
Charity Case appears in Montemar at the Rose & Crown.
We saw him here last year. Although it was the start of the season and there weren't many in the bar, we thought he/she was great. Hubby and brother in law were roped into joining him on stage. After the show he came over to speak to us - he was a lovely guy.
thanks for your replies where in benalmadena are the bars they appear in.
The Elephante is at the bottom end of Avda Bonanza not far from The Bali and San Fermin hotels. If you're staying at beach level, you need to walk up to the top of Avda Telefonica or Calle Siroco to a mini roundabout. It is set back on a parking area at the roundabout
Don't listen to anyone who tells you that Bunny appears at Casa Chims because he doesn't any more!
Mike.
AS another poster said, Charity case appears in the Rose & Crown in the Montemar area. You'd be walking from Benalmadena towards the La Cirrahuela area. Sorry, I can't remember exactly where it is but if you look on a map you should be able to spot Montemar. I'd say it's about a 15 min walk, if my memory serves me correctly. Sanji is very familiar with the area maybe she'd be able to point you in the right direction.
Buzby's is on the main road that runs through the resort and is almost directly opposite the Riviera hotel.
Very good but take a broad mind with you.
Benalmadena is a bigger place than most people realise, or they get cocooned around a small part of it.
I was staying in an apartment near the Hotel Sol Aloha Puerto with the Montemar "strip" around the corner, and it took me 15 mins to walk to the hotel Bali in Benalmadena, but I did have cardiac hill to climb and coming back it took 10 mins. ( walking by the side of the road and not the promenade route.) ( which is longer)
For the sake of simplicity and taking just a couple of minutes longer (that's all), rather than saying, turn left, turn right, here, there and everywhere"¦"¦.
Walking from Benalmadena and heading towards Torremolinos on the left side pavement ( the sea and other pavement on your right)
Keep walking and just passed the arches that suspend over the road which say Benalmadena and Torremolinos, you will see Lidl supermarket all lit up.
Ideally, you need to be across the road before Lidl, but I strongly recommend not to do this unless you have a death wish because the roundabout that leads up to El Pinillo is just ahead, and it's like the M25 at this point.
So, walk just a few yards further passed Lidl and use the pelican crossing.
After crossing over the road, turn right and walk back on yourself on the opposite side of the road for a couple of minutes at the most.
Take the first left. (Calle Saltillo)
Walk straight down to the bottom of Calle Saltillo and in front of you will be the Hotel Sol Aloha Puerto.
Turn left ( well you can't turn right because it's a dead end with a stream.)
The Rose & Crown and all the other British/Irish bars will be found on this road (Calle Salvador Allende) in this area known as Montemar-bajo.
If you find yourself on the promenade on the Torremolinos side of the Puerto Marina"¦..
Just before the hotel Sol Aloha Puerto there is a stream with a lane by the side, walk up the lane and it will bring you out at the bottom of Calle Saltillo ( it has a bit of an incline)"¦or to avoid this, walk a bit further on the promenade and take the first left off it.
Sanji
Possibly in other places too because Terri Fox's Palace is only open Wed/Thur/Fri/Sat. His adverts say that booking is advisable on (0034) 690 111 656.
The phone number for The Elefante is (0034) 650 705 345. Website:- http://www.el-elefante.com
Mike.
We went on saturday night - walked from La Carihuela up to Terri Fox. All the posters and notices suggest that it is doors open for the full show on weds/thurs/fri/sat from 9pm - but at 9-30/9-45 on sat (7/11/09) it was all closed up.
(disappointed) Dave
