If you are in North Goa - go to Snips and ask for VAL - he is a young boy from the Philippines and is a brilliant hairdresser. I had shoulder length hair and wanted an ear length bob and he spent ages and ages doing it - checking everything which ever way it was going to fall. Ever since then I will not let anyone else cut it but I do spend lots of time here in Goa.
He cut mine last Sunday ready for me leaving Goa tomorrow but could not be bothered to wash it today so went to him and he washed and blow dried it for me for a couple of pounds.
If you go there - give him a good tip - he is good lad
Have recommended him to other people and they have all been pleased with the results.
Costs 550 rps which some people here think is expensive but I think is a bargain. (about £7.50 - you can't get a wash and brush up for that in UK
SNIPS is on the road from Calangute to Candolim - right hand side - a very big salon which you can not miss - every taxi driver knows where it is - my taxi driver says his taxi can go there on its own as he takes so many people there.
