This was our fist time to fly to Goa via Mumbai,enjoyed the service on Jet airways plenty of leg room
and good seats,we pre booked our meal[ a fruit platter 7 fruits yummy]our transfer to domestic was
quick and easy, flight to Goa was with Kingfisher [food not to our taste far to spicy] but a good flight.
Taxi from the airport broke down after a few mins but another arrived soon after.
First 4 nights were at King Stork where we were welcomed back by Stanley and Rowena this is a great place
to stay[ just wish it was in Candolim]we find that 4/5 nights are enough in the Holiday Street area.
Had excellent meals in Nirvana, Babuttes,and Ricebowl of China,on the Wed night had our meal at the Carvery,
had a good night meeting up with lots from H/Truths.
For the next 8 nights we moved to The Regal Park apartments in Candolim opp The Highland this complex is like being
in paradise a wonderful place to stay,we used the pool every day,as the shacks were not up and running so did
not bother with going to the beach,walked to the beach in the evening before going out for our meal ,love the walk down
Beach Rd looking in the shops,had some nice jewellery made by Ali who is now at Chandra,s on Beach Rd.
This week we ate at Floyds Hut [3 nights ]love this place also had good meals at The Mango Grove and Fisherman,s Cove
our only bad meal of the holiday was at Casa Sea Shell.
Had some dental work done by Dr Sharmila Macarenas opp The Mango Grove and would recommend her.also we both had new
specs in the shop in front of the dentist,once again very pleased.

Our next week was at The Hatthi Mahal in Cavellossim South Goa booked our transport with Naresh from outside Newton.s he has
a 7 seater car so plenty of room for 4 of us plus all our luggage,he was also a very good driver and felt safe with him , cost to
Cavellossim 1,500rupes which for a big car we thought a good price.
This week we used the beach as some of the shacks were open ,beaches clean and sea much calmer than the North ,we did a boat
cruise with Chriss cruises and had a great day out ,the food and entertainment were first class.Meal,s out were at The Goan Village,
Mike,s Place and The River Cove if i had to choose the best although all were good it would have to be The Goan Village.

Last 3 nights we stayed at The Residency Hotel in Mumbai [have written a report but not showing as yet]
We found Mumbai very hectic ,the traffic manic and very dirty one visit we thought was enough.We did a 8 hr tour with private
car on the Sunday and this was probably the best day as the traffic was not so bad.
next time we visit Goa will go via Dubai and spend a few days there.
Our flight home with Jet was just as good although we had to ask for masks the couple behind us coughed and sneezed all the way home,and guess what!! Yes we are both full of colds.

Irish Noel and Geraldine it was good to meet you at the Carvery also again at Heathrow after our return flight,
Gemma good to meet you at last ,had a mix up that night kept on missing our friends so didn,t make it back sorry
