Read your post a few days ago on TA. Was anyone on there able to offer any advice?

Hopefully you did fill in a form at Manchester Airport before leaving the baggage claim hall.

You imply that all the ski luggage for the flight was missing - that sounds like a trolley left behind and Innsbruck airport isn't that big so someone should have noticed it by now! Thomson only fly to Innsbruck on Saturdays so the may have decided just to let it wait a week and bring it back yesterday.

... if I could work out what had happened in 3 minutes how come the Thomson staff couldn't? I can only assume that they don't care or are so useless that they are still trying to find Innsburck on a map - probably of the Mediterranean!

The mind boggles and after talking to them yesterday and them having no record of it and telling me to ring the claims dept tomorrow it doesnt make sense also the recorded message on GBS phone line has not been updated since 10am Wednesday ! I just hope everyone else whose luggage went missing has the same luck as me ,fingers crossed the bag is in tact and nothing missing!
Just a word of warning for anyone who finds themselves in a similar position ask for a copy of the PIR as they dont give them out ,I heard people asking for photocopies but they said they didnt have a copier and I believe most insurance companies insist on having an original copy ,I did manage to get through to them and they emailed me a copy but I do not know if the insurers would have accepted this.
