We enjoyed an island tour, taking in a lot of the sights and enjoying a glass bottom boat trip from Paleokastritsa. Our guide threw in lots of Greek mythology, if you like that sort of thing.

I see from another post that you are going to Sidari with Thomsons who will have several trips available which vary from year to year.

My tip though is not to sign up to any trips at the Welcome meeting. You can book them later direct with the rep on her visits.

But 1st check out the trips available from the local Sidari Travel Agents! They usually do the same trips as Thomsons at much lower prices and in many visitors opinions are more customer friendly.

Sorry Thomsons, but for years your customers have complained about the high prices you charge and often the dreadfully long transfers back to the resorts.

A Round-the-island tour is a good idea for 1st-timers to Corfu. Also a trip to Paleokastritsa if not covered by the RTI tour.
You might also consider a boat trip to the islands of Erikousa or Mathraki or both.

The water park is a must! Absolutely brilliant- and from what I can remember its the 3rd largest waterpark in europe! (if you like that sort of thing), We went on the glass boat/barbecue- but wasnt really that impressed- but each to their own!

I believe you can also visit Albania on a day trip from Corfu. You might also enjoy visiting Corfu Town and the Achilleon - a palace just outside the centre, famous for various people (Prince Philip, Empress Sissi of Austria) having visited or lived there.
