Having stayed at the Hilton Sharks Bay last year and enjoying it very much indeed, when a good friend asked for a recommendation regarding Sharm I didn't hesitate to recommend the Hilton. It's my friends and her family's first trip abroad and first time to Sharm and they went ahead and booked & paid with Hotelopia (best price) several months ago.
All good, however I contacted the Hilton last week to arrange transfers for them, they arrive tomorrow ! And was advised the booking had been cancelled. I contacted Hotelopia who advised they were not aware of any such cancellation.
We then received an email this morning advising that Hilton have cut their contract with the booking agent and are now offering the Radisson Blu Resort as an alternative at no extra cost.
I'm concerened that the hotel is not as well rated on TA as the Hilton No.6 vs No.55

And the reviews are not so good overall. Before doing anything else can anyone advise on the location of the Radisson in comparison to the Hilton and Nama Bay ? and more importantly do we accept the change happily or refuse and hold out for somewhere else.....given that they leave Leeds tomorrow afternoon
Hotelopia are advising that the Radisson is an upgrade on the Hilton as it's "5*" I'm not so sure that's the case
