All the resorts around the Bodrum Peninsula are less than 1 hour. I know what you mean about a short transfer with children.

if you fly to dalaman airport
transfers are as follows to marmaris/icmeler.
minibus 1.5-2 hrs depends on dropping people off or halfway stop
coach 1.5-3hrs due to multidrops and halfway stop (the last coach ever i went on was 3.5hrs )
private transfer or taxi about 1.30hrs straight to your apart/hotel.
add approx 10min to turunc resort
i travel with children and always book private transfers after 4 hour flight the last thing you need is along transfer

flying to Dalaman the resorts around Fethiye are normally about 1 hr (private transfer), that covers Calis (40 mins) Ovacik / Hisaronu (55 mins) & Olu Deniz 1 hr.

i say private because booked online they aren't too expensive

We are flying into Bodrum this year for a holiday in icmeler , it was a lot cheaper than Dalaman , can anybody tell me what this transfer is like in regards scenary and time

I was in an AI complex in Torba 3 years ago. Torba its self did not have much going on, but beautiful beach & the complex was great. Worth taking the local Dolmus into Bodrum for a wander around.
