Hoping this will generate more response than my last question did . . . .
I've got a bit of a dilemma. my son, who is 9, changed his mind and said he wanted to go back to Turkey, so started looking and now he's changed his mind again (bearing in mind we are hoping to fly out next monday LOL)
Anyway, we were looking at the Maritim Golf Resort a) cos he likes to play golf and because the pool/facilities/slides etc would be ideal, however, the price for the Golf resort is coming in at around £1400 B&B.
Now that I am back looking at Egypt, I have come across some deals which are actually All inclusive but for less than we would be paying for B&B at the golf resort.
Someone has said that its far too hot to be playing golf anyway, so Im wondering whether it is worth considering any of these options. We have never been to Egypt before so I have no idea of locations, ease to get around or whats near by.
But, we like to be able to go to the pool (would be even better if there are slides etc for my son) as well as the beach, he likes to swim, play pool/snooker and have things going on which he quite happily goes off to do with other kids (I grab some relaxation time with a book!), we want to be able to get to the beach quite easily, but altough we would be AI, would like to be pretty close to the main area (even if it means short taxi ride or walk)
These are the places that have come up
Sol Y Mar Sharming
Sol Y Mar Sharks Bay
Tropitel Dahab Oasis
or for a bit more
Kiroseiz Three Corners Resort
or for about £600 more
Tropitel Naama Bay
Any info, thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated about what would suit our needs would be great,
And, is there a water park nearby? in Sharm?
many thanks and sorry for all of the questions . . .LOL
Not sure on prices but there is an aqua park at the Reef Oasis Beach Hotel, we stayed a few years ago and they were building it then. It in a place called hadaba which is nearer to old sharm, there is a place called fantasia near by that has some gift shops etc and the taxi ride to na'ama bay isnt too expensive.
Another hotel is Sunrise Aqua Hotel in Nabq Bay (further away from na'ama bay) but its got lots of slides, however is slightly isolated and not much else nearby.
I am sure someone will be able to help you further, but if not have u tried the Holiday Village or Laguna Vista Beach Hotel as they both cater for families and have numerous pools with slides.
Hope that helps
thank you for your reply. I will check out the couple of places. The holiday village is not available for our dates and a bit beyond our price range, dont want to go overboard on this holiday as we are planning a return visit to Florida in may
The Aqua Blu hotel got lots off water slides in
Sharks bay has some nice hotels but remote , the same for Dahab, but equally nice hotels. To get into Naama Bay you would require a cab. If you only come into the main area once or twice it will not be too costly and most hotels have shuttles to get you to and fro. But if you do not want to be stuck in the complex all day and night i would come further into Naama Bay.
Kiroseiz Three Corners Resort - http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g297555-d565322-Reviews-Three_Corners_Kiroseiz-Sharm_El_Sheikh_South_Sinai_Red_Sea_and_Sinai.html
This hotel i believe is not far from the Sonesta Beach Resort where i always go .............. so within walking distance of everywhere you would want to go.
Tropitel Naama Bay

This hotel we pass frequently, a nice hotel but right in the middle of NB, plus's on your door step - Minus - can be very very noisy if you have a room facing the streets (unless they have special windows to not hear anything) lots of banging drums, fridays, hard rock, the mall, cabs, and shops and bars all around you.
There are water parks although never been as at the time of them being built, there wasn't much shade. Believe me in August you will not be out of the shade as its way to hot around 120 degrees and more.
For good slides and things for the kids aqua-blu hotel has good slides and several members on here have been, but again a cab ride from main resort.
Where ever you go and see the sea, you will witness some huge fish , beautiful colours. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Also forgot to say maybe look at the Sonesta Club, its the sister hotel to Sonsta beach resort, the club is normally cheaper and has several slides and a very good kids club. To access the beasch, you will need to walk across the peace road (Main road), and come through the back of my hotel. This also is an A1 hotel. I have been to this hotel well walked through it numerous times.

Good Luck
