Our preference is the hilton at sharks bay jim .

We trust it there because we have never experienced stomach upsets like we have in other hotels in Egypt . It's clean, friendly , standard of a/i is good and the food is pretty decent . ok it's not fabulous food but I've yet to find anywhere that is in Egypt . We've always come back half a stone heavier so no complaints there.

Beach is not fantastic . There are sunbathing terraces with sand that are actually a lot nicer than they sound and a small bit of beach . The reef more than makes up for it though and snorkelling is excellent .

It's never that cheap on a package but can be done reasonably DIY if you can get a decent price flight . I always book direct on the hilton website and they organise a taxi to pick us up.
