Hi gang we are off to Fuerterventura at the end of September, staying at the Aloe Club Resort Correlejo. My question is this.. What is the policy on smoking in public? We have heard that this hotel has designated areas for smokers and smoking is banned in pubs and public areas on the resort. Any ideas????
regards..... mike
Being a leper and living on the island I can attest to the fact that most hotels have strict no smoking policies in communal indoor areas. You can smoke outdoors and in your bedrooms as long as they are smoking rooms. In bars and restaurants under a certain amount of M2 the owners can either be smoking or non smoking and there will be a sign on a window or door to let you know. Most big venues have a smoking and non smoking area.
Common sense prevails and the non smokers can have a night out without coming home stinking of smoke and us smokers can light up without the tutting and filthy looks.
