Hello, I am looking for some advice for a friend of mine.
She is looking at booking an apartment through ownersdirect for a week beginning of May, but she needs some advice.
Are the supermarkets well stocked with basic essentials?
I have suggested that she takes only the bare minimal of things, eg teabags, dried milk etc, for that all important cuppa, just to tide her over until she can locate a supermarket.
I have also been told that the freshly baked bread from the bakers is nice, but to get the other things from the supermarket.
She isnt a fussy eater, and her partner will eat anything
The things that they will be looking to purchase are:
orange juice
bread
beans
eggs
bacon
pasta sauce and pasta
salad
chicken
milk
and so on.
As i said, they aren't fussy eaters, and they will not be looking for typical british branded goods, so will be staying away from imported food highly priced.
Thankyou
All those things are available in many supermarkets and indeed at lots of corner shops too. Cant say the bacon is much "cop" and as long as you dont go for the imported items you will find items are of a similar price to UK. If you are anywhere near the port area there are loads of restaurants offering "full English Breakfast" for 3/4 euros.
