Turkey will not be joining the EU at any point in the near future. If they ever do join it wont be for many years to come.
Claire what makes you think Turkey will be recognised by the EU ? Also not sure if it is really a holiday related question, more of a political one and holiday truths is a holiday forum.
If they went into eu it could have holiday benefits like if you got ill or had an accident
