Hisaronu. We prefer somewhere a bit quieter than Marmaris so I didn't really like Hisaronu when we visited but it might be a good option for you. Altinkum would be another option.

Hisaronu is very very lively,it may not be everyones cup of tea but i would go as far to say it is as lively or even more lively than marmaris,it is more of a purpose built resort than marmaris, but has the added bonus of fethiye, olu deniz and calis within easy reach. We like this area and have visited a few times and would return without hesitation.

Hi Jackie, you could have a look at Gumbet, it is nowhere near as big as Marmaris but it is certainly lively, especially in the height of the season. You also have Bodrum just a 10 minute bus ride away if you fancy a change of scenery.

I would definitely take a look at Gumbet. Yes, it is smaller than Marmaris but there are still plenty of lively bars and restaurants to choose from - and quieter ones when you want to chill out. To me it has a more Turkish feel about it than Marmaris.

You're really close to Bodrum and from there, you can explore the rest of the peninsula when lying on the beach just gets too tiring LOL!!

Try Bodrum & Gumbet, they are very close to each other about 5 km. Bodrum has an International Airport too. Bodrum nights and bays are as beautiful as Marmaris.

I would recommend you to go to Altinkum. I visited this place only once, but it was unforgettable. It was spring and the temperatures was more manageable :sun2 . I strongly recommend you to avoid the peak season  !

I agree with Altinkum and also recommend Kusadasi.
