hi just booked paradisus rio de ore in cuba anyone been , any advice , best room numbers , anything at all thanks happy days

I do know it is one of the best hotels in Cuba and is adult only. It gets excellent reviews. When we went to that area we stayed at the PP which was ok but I think your hotel will be loads better - a true five star from all accounts.

I have to say that the paradisus is one of the best holidays I have ever had. I went in sept 09, my parents are heading there this Friday. As for rooms, we were recommended to request for an upstairs room as you get a large balcony. We stayed in room 3815 which was near the middle of the resort, so was ideal. I believe there is a new section on the resort now (royal something.....). This was being built when we were there so I cannot comment on this.

The food, drinks and staff were all top notch at this resort. I read a lot of reviews before I went, and got some advice from people on here and everything that I was told lived unto my expectations, and beyond. The main complaints I saw on here, were that the rooms were dated. I found the rooms were nice, large and clean, the bathroom was possibly a little dated but it was perfectly functional and spotlessly clean.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this resort and I would go back.

Oh and for anybody that has stayed there and fancies somewhere else that is to the same standard (but with better rooms). I would highly recommend the Excellence Riviera near cancun in Mexico. The Excellence and the Paradisus are by far the best two resorts that I have ever been to.
