I will be visiting Riva Del Garda in June and have decided it will be the perfect place to propose to my Girlfriend. She has always said to me that she doesn't want it to be done with lots of people around as she is very shy and would get embarassed with all the attention.
I was wondering if anybody who has previously visited could advise of any particularly beautiful place where they feel would be a good setting for this? A secluded spot or maybe a great view im open to all ideas. I would like it to be near the centre of Riva as I am going to arrange to meet family there afterwards to give the happy news and have a meal.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks for the wonderful idea. Although I am not overly confident of being in charge of the boat with an engagement ring in my pocket. I'll have to make sure somebody else is driving it!
I did think about a boat approaching Riva but I had the ferry in mind (it's cheaper for a start!). I don't know whether they let passengers right down to the front of the deck. But if you could get to the sharp end, you must know the famous scene in Titanic........
Haha. Yes Steve thats also a great idea. I could even play the Celine Dion tune from my Ipod Speakers and really go for it....
and they don't have any icebergs in Lake Garda!

Plenty of choice in Riva. Just look around while you're there.
