Has anyone stayed at the Kosmoplaz hotel in Mykonos, it's on Platys Gialos beach? Can anyone tell us where is the best place to eat there and have cocktails. We are a couple in our early 50s and like good food and chilling out on the beach. Any other tips for a first time visitor? We have been to many Greek Islands but not this one. Went to Santorini last year and it was amazing but the beaches were volcanic.
My wife and I went to Mykonos about 10 years ago. We stayed in a hotel in Platys Gialos where the beach was superb and the tavernas were on the beach, so you could put your feet into the sea while you eat!
Mykonos is a fantastic island, great beaches and restaurants, but I will not be going again. It is a bit too cosmopolitan for an old fashioned married chap like me, if you get my drift.

Thank you Qman, we're the other side of 50 but do like nice restaurants and sitting by the beach, no nightclubbing for us!! 
We went to Santorini last year and loved it but the beaches were'nt for us. It's the most beautiful place but onece you've seen it that's it.
