Hiya

We're off to Sa Coma in just over 2 weeks and thought i'd try and gather as much local information as I can before we arrive.

Main question is where are the supermarkets, and which is the best (cheapest)?

We are staying at Protur Sa Coma Playa hotel which from a map looks a little out of the resort centre, so does anyone know where the nearest supermarket is to this hotel and how long it would take to walk there?

Is there anywhere in particular that anyone can recommend seeing or going to?

We are on a half board basis so likely to stay in the hotel for evening meals, but is there anywhere that is highly recommended to try? And is there anywhere that is good for lunches?

What sort of shops are available in the resort? Is there any perfume shops (we stayed in Playa Blanca in Lanzarote a few years back and every second shop sold perfume)? I like to try and get a bargain, and the more shops the better you can bargain

Is there a taxi rank in the resort centre? I ask this as we have booked our flights seperately with Thomson and added their coach transfer to it, however I have only just realised that we might get dropped off in the resort centre and not necessarily at the hotel. I am hoping there will be someone else staying at the hotel, or one of the nearby ones and we can just get off the coach at the same time, but if not we will need to get a taxi from the resort centre to the hotel.

So my final question - anyone going from Glasgow on Tuesday 5th July at 8.30am and/or returning on Saturday 16th July (think about 12.30pm?) that is staying at the same hotel or one of the ones nearby (the other Protur hotels)

your bus will drop you off at hotel.why think other wise.if the hotel does full board.then swap your meal over oneday.but ask head waiter first.as lunch time meals do cost more.say you going on a trip.
as for perfume i know some brands are not sold in the uk.but buy your perfume here.cheaper

back to bus.you don;t pay for a bus then think your going to pay for a taxi to hotel from centre of resort.how much did you pay for it.£35.00 best i got.

Please note: Shuttles or shared transfers are not available to villas or private addresses.
olny ever drove through resort so i can not tell you about supermarkets.

The reason we think we wont be dropped off at hotel is because we didn't book the whole holiday as a package. We did the lfights and transfers with Thomson and the hotel directly. When you go through the booking process and add in the transfers (£60 return for 3 of us) it only asks the resort you are going to, not the hotel. So as far as Thomson are concerned, they do not know which hotel we are staying at, and on the website it does say something about being dropped off in the resort centre. This meaning we would need a taxi to get us to the hotel as we will have our luggage. My husband called them up to check we had the transfers booked and what we do when we arrive at airport, and they confirmed we'd be dropped off in the resort centre not the hotel. I don't know why we even booked this and i'm really quite annoyed that we did, as I had got a quote from the hotel for transfers and it was about the same price, we just thought that it was easier booking the transfers along with the flights.

Hopefuly, someone else will go to our same hotel and we can get off at same time, but if not, they will expect to drop us off centrally and pick us up in same place
