Hello!
Sorry if this is in the wrong section!
My friend and I (Both 18 years old) are looking to go on holiday during August for 3-4 nights. We would like to fly from Bristol, but could possibly go forom Exeter or Cardiff.
We would like to go somewhere warm where we can get a tan! Not over touristy, trashy or crowded. We would like somewhere with culture and nice places to eat and drink. Something to do at night would be great. Would love somewhere with some beautiful beaches.
We do not wish to spend more than £400 for flights + hotel.
Any ideas?!
Well if you are looking for a city break for 4 days or so then most places you choose are going to busy, and full of tourists most likely - Prague is reasonable and popular for 4/5 days might try that. Barcelona is lovely but probably more expensive and would be very very busy as so popular with many tourists because of so many attractiions, the unfunished church, park, shops etc
Doesn't have to be a city.. Just didn't know where else to put this topic.. I am new here sorry!
Doesn't have to be a city..
In that case, I will transfer you from City Breaks to General Holiday Enquiries for a better response.

Hi, have you thought of Turkey? You just need to be a bit careful where you choose if you wish to avoid anywhere very touristy. Some of the resorts on the Bodrum peninsula might suit you. Bodrum itself is very interesting, cosmopolitan and busy but stay in one of the quieter resorts nearby and you can have the best of both.
If you want a nice tan, good beaches, some culture and nice places to eat in the evenings then I'd say one of the Greek Islands would be good, but I really would look at going for a week to make the most of it. By the time you've paid for the flights the accom is cheap enough and a 7 night trip will cost little more than a 4 night, maybe less as packages may be cheaper than DIY.
Ah missed the 3 or 4 night bit. You wouldn't really want to go to Turkey for less than a week. What about a UK break? We have just returned from a few days in Falmouth it was lovely, lots to do and see and beautiful scenery. At night the harbour area was buzzing. With your budget you could probably stay in quite a nice hotel. Of course you can't guarantee sunshine there, we had some rain but still enjoyed ourselves.
I would agree with Lady Pink...Barcelona. The city itself has nice beaches and is within easy reach of sea side resorts should you fancy one. The city has bags of culture, restaurants galore, has a very good and cheap public transport system. Easyjet fly there from Bristol. Ryanair fly to nearby airports
How about flying to malaga ? only 2 and a bit hours flying time and there is an excellent train service from the airport down to fuengirola, you could base yourself anywhere along the coast and visit different areas on the train if you like to get out and about .
I can't go for a week as have a horse and my friend has to work Mondays and Saturdays. So from Bristol, tuesday-friday we are left with:
your 18 is this a parting holiday... Tenerife,Maliga,Faro.
is it a chill out with options? then the Algarve [via Faro] around Albefura will give you most options on a short flight, excellent beaches, clubbing on the strip, soft and gentle restaurants in the old town, short flight and reasonably priced
Malaga gives the options along a long stretch of the Costa del sol from quiet [tor-de-mar] to the hustle and bussel of Malaga
cant help much with the other two...
