We were in Cavelossim in Feb this year, we have been lucky enough to do 2 wks North 1 wk South for the last few years. There are plenty of places to stay but the most popular ones would be Sao Domingo & Mikes Place which would be approx £25 a room including breakfast. There are a couple of newer ones Casa De Chris (same owner as Mikes) Luciana's Residency (same owner as Sao Domingo) these are a bit dearer approx £30 depending on exchange rate. All four places are within 100 yds of each other there are lots of good places to eat & drink on your doorstep and a couple of really nice one's a 5 minute taxi ride away. The beach is a 10 min stroll away and is much cleaner & quieter than Baga/Calangute with a few shacks. We have stayed at Casa De Chris for the last few visits and to be honest we would stay at any of the ones mentioned.... if you google Mikes Place Goa or Sao Domingo Goa you can look at the places .....hope this helps... if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask or send PM ... thanks keith. will have a look at the websites. the plus with sao domingos is that cosmos does a package next season which i prefer to diy. i dont think that jewel in the crown is using it anymore though.

Have any of you been to Betalbetim or Benaulim (South Goa) - not sure where to stay next April (which is only time we can get there next year!) - went to Cavelossim in Feb 2010 and loved it, but wanted to stay somewhere close by for a change (so we can visit) but worried they will be too quiet? - any advise appreciated
