Hi All,
Looking to go to Southern Cyprus last week in Sept, first week in Oct.
1. What will the weather be like during these times?
2. What resort: We are a couple in our 50's, so don't want night clubs, music bars etc.. Our typical evening would be. A drink or two before dinner. Nice tavernas to enjoy traditional Cypriot/Greek food. Then after dinner a few more drinks in a bar/taverna. Don't mind a little music, but don't want boom boom so you cant hear yourself think!
Having said all that, a hotel on/near the beach on a HB/AI basis would be good (as long as the food is good)
3. During the day: We like to sunbathe, so a good pool and beach with soft sand would be great. Also like to get out and about. So depending on resort, what day trips are there. Would consider hiring a car. Do they drive on the left in Cyprus?
4. As I live in Germany, we will be booking this from here. So not using UK TO's. But I presume both go to the same places??
5. We went to Santorini back in May on a B&B basis and found the prices for evening meals expensive, three quarters of our spends went on evening meals. Are prices about the same in Cyprus as in Greece?
Hope to get some good info from you guys here.
Thanks in advance.
Dave
Good news is that Ayia Napa is not the crazy place that it is said to be in July August and temperature averages around 30 degrees. People often ask how how much does it cost? In our experience, it is as expensive or cheap as you want it to be. Plenty of nice places to eat and drink that will not break the bank.

I would suggest Protaras/Pernera on the East or Coral Bay on the west side. All are a lot less hustle and bustle of AyaiNapa/Limassol/Larnaca.
Pernera is where a lot of the Cypriots take local holidays.. tells you all you need to know..
Got a couple of quotes from my local TUI outlet.
Protaras. Hotel Sunrise Beach. Half Board 1699 Euros per person
Larnica. Hotel Atlantica Bay. AI 1478 Euros pe person
Both are for 2 weeks going end of Sept.
Personally, I think these prices are very expensive. Am I right in thinking this, or is what I would expect to pay in Cyprus?
I was thinking around the 2000 Euros for the 2 of us as a maximum.
Thomson/TUI = Sunrise Beach from Manchester 25th Sept for 2 weeks. B&B £1,110 HB £1354
2)Pissouri !!!
3) Yes, get a car is my recommendation. Supposedely, they drive on the left. 5) Never been to Greece
The Atlantica Bay Hotel is in Limassol!
