What a relief for you Jem. We are going to go through the stress of obtaining visas very soon and I must say I am not looking forward to it.

I looked on here quite a bit for advice re the Visas, although I had been last year, it was a different form, photo size etc. but really in the end it worked out smoothly for me, thank goodness. Just remember when you print off your Visa Application, you also print off the separate Declaration Form. If it hadnt been for this site, I must say I may have missed it also. Have a great time when you go.

Hi Debs, Im sure I met up with you last year at the meet??? It was our first time in Goa and found the people at the meet really friendly and lovely. If we hadnt gone that night would never have found out about Soumans Kitchen. We had a fantastic meal there.

pleased to say that our Visas came back today and without any difficulties. the Form filling is a pain but if that's the worst we endure this time around we will be more than happy. Only about 35 days to go, can't wait!!

just make sure you read the VFS website carefully, especially the bit about photos and check that your job isn't one of the ones that require an employer's letter.
Also if you're taking children (even your own) you need extra documents.

Well, franny, you sound well organised so I'm sure it'll be a doddle for you.

However, I must admit to needing a large G&T after completing ours - and that was before the application form changed!

We received our visas about two weeks ago and our e-ticket attached to an email arrived on Saturday. I had to call First Choice to make sure that we had received all that we should as we were expecting two tickets each, one for outbound and one for inbound for each of us and a voucher for the hotel. I used to look forward to receiving a little booklet containing these things including luggage labels. How times have changed.

yes what has happened to luggage lables?. i have made some on computer for thomsons and if i say so myself they look quite good,
