Hi snowey .. this thread is more specific to the Benilux Park. For info and discussion about eating places, particularly in the Old Town, you may like to check out these threads:
is the Benilux Park a Med playa hotel + any recent reviews would be welcomed. Read all of the present reviews on hotel reviews threads. TIA
I did check the few reviews that are available on this hotel from British tourists and it does seem a nice pleasant hotel, rooms are clean with a pool view and the food is edible so that's always a good sign! Although a big deal has been made that you are surrounded by Spanish, German, Dutch holidaymakers etc it shouldn't bother us as we like to keep to ourselves on holiday anyway.
I'm really looking forward to it!
Very international, very good food, all staff very good, central to, Levante beach, and Poeninte. beach.
Local bus outside hotel takes you right into Levante, and at the top end of the Hotel. the Bus wil take you to La Cala, both ways for around 1-20 Euro.s each.. If you req any more info, Just PM me..
Stayed at the benilux park as we wanted to be in the old town for the november fiesta.we were one of only two british couples staying at the hotel, the rest were mostly elderly spanish guests. at meal times the noise was something else, but it was obvious that they were realy enjoying themselves bless em. the food was geared to the spanish taste but we did not go hungry.they did have a curry night but no rice to be seen anywhere.this hotel made a pleasant change for us as we normaly stay at the FLAMINGO BENIDORM.which is all british guests. i found the spanish quite friendly if you greeted them with the usual Hola.we got a great deal and i can honestly say we had one of the best holidays ever as the 7 day fiesta was just awsome.enjoy
I have just seen a new review for this hotel and it tells all who reads 'NOT TO GO IF YOU ARE ENGLISH' My two love playing in the pool and I only wanted a bit of sun as we don't seem to get much of the yellow stuff here after all! I don't think I should be worried
We stayed last year at Prince Park in the hotel, last summer and there was only us and 1 other family in the hotel that were British, the rest were mainly Spainish or Belguim. We thoughly enjoyed our holiday, the food was international and far nicer than some hotels we have stayed in. No mad rush for the sunbeds either and at lunch time everyone removed their towels to go for lunch. We could get around the pool anytime we wanted to. In fact we enjoyed it so much we are going back for Christmas.
We have stayed a few times Poniente side now and we love it, the beach is wider and less crowded.
Largslad, I know what you mean about the noise at meal times, we have commented on it before, it`s quite funny when you first hear them.
Thanks for that Christine
