Hi,

Thanks for reply. Herd and read all different distances. Just wanted to check as we didn't want to be to far away from everything plus I have a slight walking problem after an accident at work a few years ago.

If being beside the beach is important then this is the wrong hotel. There is a compliamentary bus to the beach and I am sure that explains the distance. The food is OK but like most A/I gets boring after week one. They have a nice Chinese buffet in addition to the normal buffet every night except Friday night. The pools are lovely and there is a good atmosphere there. If you want to be beside the beach its a no no.

Hi rosa,

Thanks for reply and info. It was more for to get out of hotel at night if we have been at hotel all day.I am happy at the poolside but like a change at nights just to stop boredom. Are their plenty of bed's at poolside, you don't have to get up at crack of dawn or fight for them.

Thanks Again.

There is nothing in the immediate vacinity of the hotel at night. Unless you are a good walker it is a good twenty minutes to walk to the town where there are the usual things. The hotel is surrounded by houses. You would have to get a taxi out and home each night so factor that into your costs. Remember that no more than 5 people can go in a taxi so if you have 6 people you will be forced to get 2 taxis even if the sixth is a small child.

There is a cash machine in the hotel.

There are loads of beds but in summer the place is very full. I would imagine you would have to be up early to get prime positions, such as by baby pool which is vital if you have small kids. Its a big complex.

No I'm not the best of walkers as I am medically retired after an accident at work so I am happy to sit at poolside. As you said their is the bus to go to the beach if we fancy a change for the day. Are the pools/beds etc near to the restaurant. How far is the complex spread out. Was at one 2 years ago in Fuerteventura and it was huge,we were at opposite end of complex from restaurant/reception area.No kids to worry about, been their done that. Just me and the good lady.

Yes there are rooms near the restaurant and the pool. If you are booking with a tour operator then just book as normal and request a poolside room (which will leave you near the main building as well). The tour operator will not promise you that it will be delivered as it is merely a request. You then contact the hotel directly 6 days before you travel and ask for a poolside room explaining your circumstances and telling them the tour operator you are traavelling with etc. You will be fine then. Its a good old trot to the beach and resort centre in the best of health although I am lazy. If you need hotel phone number or fax or email let me know.

Thanks for all your help rosa. Not booked yet as wanted info on it first. Looks like we will and stay at pool or get the bus to Beach if we fancy a change. Is their any shops at all near bye for bits and pieces for the room.

Yes there is a small but well stocked supermarket on the complex and a bank machine in the reception area.

Hi rosa,

Thats us just gone ahead and booked it for start of June, will now get in touch with them to see if they can take a note and help with a request for a room near all. As I said we will just jump on the bus if wanting to go to the beach for a change. Thanks for the info and if you can think of anything else that might help us at all just post and will keep a look out.

Thanks Again

Well folks that's the hol's been and gone. Hotel was good, bit far from center but shuttle free bus up to 3.30pm. Local bus stop across the road and it was 1euro15 and the bus just went round the resort and back to where you got on. Plenty taxi's down the hill a bit and they were 3 to 4 euros to town center from hotel.

Hotel was nice apartment rooms were big and kept very clean as were the grounds. Only down side was the restaurant. No dress code at all, don't mind people going for breakfast or lunch in shorts and T shirt but some were wearing that to dinner also and nothing said. Also some kids in restaurant ran amok with parents not bothering what they were up to i.e spilling drinks and food on floor and then people slipping. Would have been better with a Restaurant Manager to stop this. It was also a free for all at meal times for tables and getting your food, would have been better with 2 sittings otherwise Hotel was good.

TV was 3 euro per day or 16.80 for 7 days
Aircon was 4 euro per day, not sure per week.

Anybody needs any info I will try and help if they contact me.

Also forgot to say.One bad thing which we came across was on the day you checked out of room at 12 mid day they cut your bands off and give you a voucher for your lunch but you DON'T get any drinks with that as a few people had a glass of water or a coke and they were trying to make people PAY for it, so please beware. The crazy thing was some got the band cut off and other's didn't, all depends on who you see when handing keys in.

robertk,

I don't mind anybody wearing dress shorts or 3/4 length joggers but not the same shorts they have had on all day and been in the pool with. You might NOT be used to going to hotels with a bit of decorum and dress code but I have.

Hi am looking at booking this hotel for aug but need some info please if possible, does anyone know if the new waterpark is open i have read many conflicting stories so if anyone knows if it is definately open that would be great, also is the waterpark directly attached to hotel as i have older kids who would prefer to go on there own so if its in the grounds that would be ok. An other info would be appreciated re food etc as the reviews are a bit mixed , we are not fussy eaters but its not really a cheap hol so i expect something decent. Hope someone can help as i need a holiday and would like to book something asap.

Thank You
Sharon

According to Paradise Island the waterpark has been open since 14 May. It is just behind the hotel, as I understand it, so presumably has direct access. It is only a 3 star hotel so go with realistic expectations about the food. I don't know if you've booked half board or all inclusive, but to be honest, AI in Lanzarote is sometimes not the best, even in the top end hotels.

We're heading to Paradise Island in 3 weeks with a baby. Does the hotel supermarket sell nappies? Dont want to fill an entire suitcase with nappies when I can buy them there.
Also, the reviews are very mixed and Im a bit nervous about taking my 4 kids there! Anybody been there recenly since its been renovated?
Thanks for any info :)

I don't know whether you can buy nappies on site, but the supermarkets in Playa Blanca all sell them.
