Well this is me just finishing the packing ready to go to Santiago on Tuesday for the Pepe Sanchez Festivale de la Trova. Looking forward to lots of sun, son and salsa with a few mojitos thrown in for good measure. Worried about the weight though - my friend and I are staying with one of our regular landladies who lives in the part of the colonial centre that was badly hit by Hurricane Sandy last year and I'm taking out a dinner service for her to replace some her beloved china! I just hope it survives the journey but hopefully it is swathed in enough bubble wrap to protect it.

I guess you've realised that it's my favourite place too, Judith Havana is beautiful but the atmosphere and quality of music on offer in Santiago is definitely something else! I was last there for the Festivale de la Trova in 2006 and I am so looking forward to being there again for it.
