traditionally the Greek holiday season doesn't start till the second week of may even then many places are not open, usually you cant get flights from the uk direct till the beginning of may, having said this you have been in may so you know it wont be hot just warm with possible showers, as you are on the top end of the island you should find plenty of tavernas etc open in Kos town
