I've a drawer full of small bottles of shampoo conditioner body lotion etc that I can't resist taking. I don't know why I take them cos I always take my own with me so it's not as if they are going to come in handy. I am a bit selective though they have to be a decent brand, was in London last weekend and got a nice selection of Molton Brown ones to add to my collection!!!
The only thing i have taken from from the hotel,s whilst on holiday is happy memories
I always take things like soap and shampoo as they come in handy when away for a few days elsewhere. I've also still got the little sewing kit which was in my cabin on a cruise.
Reading Aslemma's post -we also have a couple of those sewing kits hidden in the wife's handbag -amazing how often a button comes off a shirt on holiday!!
Depends what the hotel goodies are. Our last hotel in Thailand had various Roget and Gallet soaps, shampoos and moisturisers so Mrs Sunbear had those. I got the impressive folding brush and comb and sewing kit and shoe shine kit. We have a large collection of soaps and pens as well.
I have never thought about taking anything from the hotel other then an empty wallet and dirty clothes.
Just some shampoo that I didn't use.
Plastic shower caps. Good for waiting for the deep conditioner to work without it running down your neck.
Forgot about the shower caps I use these when I dye my hair
Shampoo, but I've got friends who have taken everything from towels to the Bibles.

Bibles !!!!
..however,reminds me of the time I saw someone being searched at Gatwick on return - there were towels on the Customs table which had obviously been wrapped around some bottles...with the name of a hotel featured prominently on the towels
Fair enough the little shampoos etc, but to me anyone taking towels etc is a thief - no doubt about that in my mind. I've been poor enough in the past, but never desperate enough to steal things from anywhere. .
In some hotels I have stayed at- there is a letter on the hanger the bathrobe is on with its cost if you want to take it home. So I would assume that folks have taken them in the past.

gosh there are some real low lives about
Obviously trying to learn the 10 commandments
I can understand the complimentary soaps, shampoos etc, but to take towels and bibles goodness me that's something else.
I take any shampoos, soaps and shower gels that we have opened on the basis that they are just going to be binned otherwise.
