Any body else see the meteor shower? I finally got to my bed at 4am. It was pretty spectacular in Aberdeen. Although have to say I am right on the outskirts with a wood at the bottom of my garden so there was a lot less light pollution. One of my sisters lives in the centre and saw nothing. I started to see the show after 11.30. I have no idea how many I saw but I did wonder if I would wake up blind with triffids living in the woods
I'm further down the coast from you Fiona and it was pretty disappointing further south because the sky has been quite overcast throughout the shower this year. I literally saw one last night in a small clear gap between the clouds, and I too benefit from a reasonably dark sky compared to city dwellers, so gave up and went to bed at around midnight!

we were lucky- the night before it was raining. It was really clear yesterday.
I drove out to a dark hill know near mine...wow its normally a picturesque view at the best of times but with the meteor shower it was amazing. Just laid down on top of my car bonnet starring up at the sky for hours. Well until next year...

I am disappointed I missed it and would have had a great view as I am staying in a country lane and there was clear skies last night.

We were in the East Neuk for a couple of nights, away from street lights and we had a good view both nights. It clouded over last night but we still saw something before that.
another clear night but not as spectacular as yesterday. Probably half a dozen seen in 30 mins.
