Fishing in Hurghada

Going to Hurghada for the first time in March. I understand that the Red Sea area is something of a nature reserve due to the coral reefs and varieties of fish. I am an avid angler and wonder in there is anywhere in the Hurghada area where fishing is permitted or will I be leaving my rod at home.

I would leave it at home. The reefs are way offshore and with it being a marine conservation area, I don't think it's permitted anyway.

I always take my telescopic rod on holidays but as Darren says the red sea is a protected area so the twice I have been too sharm I did not take the rod. did not see any boat trips either (((
