My wife and myself and another couple are flying to Cape Verde next month from Manchester, taking off at 08.00 The other couple booked the holiday for us all, so are the lead person on the booking. We are travelling down from Scotland the day before the flight, to the airport by train, and before going to our airport accommodation, would like to check in and get rid of our hold luggage. The other couple are driving to the airport on the morning of the flight. If I download the eticket and take it to the check in, would they allow my wife and myself to check in the previous night, and the other couple to check in on the morning of the flight ? This would save us lugging our luggage to our hotel and getting up at crack of dawn. When we booked the holiday we assumed, foolishly, that Thomson would have had online check in like most carriers, but no such luck.
Any advice on this would be appreciated

Day before check-in details are on Thomsons website. It's fine that only one person checks in for the party, but you need to take everyone's passports and luggage with you under the same booking so it probably won't work for you the way your describe it until you all meet up. It's a quietish time of year so check-in shouldn't be too busy at the time you'll need to check-in anyway. I've checked-in for flights at 0530-0600 (0800 departure) and walked straight to an available desk.

Day before check-in will be available from 12 midday till 10pm. As has been said it's unlikely you will be able to use this facility as you need passports, tickets, luggage etc for ALL passengers on the same booking.
