Hopefully we will see this idea in practice in other airlines!

On our outbound flight to Florida many years ago we were lucky as the flight was empty. All 3 of us got 4 middle row seats to ourselves. We didn't have a duvet though & our pillows were jackets!

The idea has been in service with New Zealand Airways for a few years, its nothing new and not a bad idea if you can afford it and want the space for a sleep. Its not that much cheaper than some business class seats though that are fully lie flat so also worth considering if you want to spend that much on an air fair. I've enjoyed 3 seats to myself on a 14 hour flight, it was excellent!
