Hi
I have been recommended this site as somewhere to get help on an itinerary in Croatia.
We have ten days in Croatia altogether. We fly into Pula and fly out of Pula also. I dont know very much about Croatia but i was wondering is it possible to see places like Hvar, Spit, Brac, Korcula and Dubrovnik in 10 days and what the public transport system is like to go back north at the end of the trip to Pula where we fly out again.
I would appreciate any help people can give me on this and what would they recommend we do in terms of accommodation?
We are going near the end of July which i know is the busiest season but we are hoping to go backpacking so we are on a budget.
Many thanks
Digsy
You could try having a look around here whilst your waiting for replies:-
We went to Croatia last year and I found the forum on http://www.visitcroatia.proboards21.com/index.cgi was very good. I would try posing your question there. Lots of similar type questions to yours. Someone there will be able to help you I am sure. I know you can get buses which run the length of the country but travel is very slow as it's mostly a winding coastal road and no motor-ways. It took us over 3 hours to drive in a hire-car from Cavtat (south of Dubrovnik) up the coast and across the Peljesac peninsula to Orebic for the crossing to Korcula.
Hope you manage to see a few places whilst you are there.
Yiamass, Jean
Please help me find a good hotel to stay
