Hi all
Newbie here. Now, I know people are going to read the title of this post and suggest that I do some google work and search around the web for itineries of other people but herein lies my problem. There are that many itineries and suggestions from other helpful people that I am literally bamboozled. We did sort of select a few different itineries but then a couple of them had comments relating to a lot of travelling and therefore not really getting a proper break. Therefore, I am hoping you guys can help me with a suggested itinery that is not exhaustive with regard to loads travelling. We don't want to get home and be exhausted through travelling throughout our Two week stay in Vietnam. Here is our plan. We hope you can help:
My Fiance and I are getting married in September 2016 so we can travel any day after 11th September 2016.
We want to go for around 14 days
With regard to our time in Vietnam we would like to partake in the following:
Visit Ho Chi Min City (this is based on what others have said)
Possibly see some serious wild life (Tigers? Elephants? etc)
Definitely have some sun bathing/relaxing days (Breaches?)
Possibly see a museum or artifacts from the War
We don't really want to be doing loads of walking or back packing as this will be our honeymoon and the emphasis is on relaxing a little.
We don't mind flying into one Airport and flying out of a different Airport. We don't even mind the odd internal flight if anyone has any good suggestions. I have already purchased a lonely planet book and I am going to research any suggestions myself. I hope you don't think I'm being lazy. I am just looking for suggestions based on our requirements. Like I said, we saw a few good itineries but they included travelling every day and by the admissions of the authors they were quite exhausting.
So, suggestions please and of course we would love to know if there is ANYTHING WE MUST SEE OR DO.

My partner and I went to Vietnam for 14 days in December 2015. If you plan to stay more than 14 days, you will need to pay for a 30-day Visa on Arrival (U$30-35) at the airport. We fly in to Hanoi and fly out from HCMC/Saigon. Sapa is quite a relaxing place to visit, and make sure you join the hilltribe for a day of hiking. Halong bay can be a bit touristy but the scenery is worth it. From Hanoi we took an overnight sleeper train to Hue. Of course you could also fly to Danang from Hanoi, but we found train journeys are the best way to travel in Vietnam and get to see the real way of Life there. Hue and Hoi An are both charming towns with lots of history and character. I highly recommend you to take the morning train from Hue to Danang via the Hai Van Pass, along the South China Sea. We only have time for a short stay in HCMC, one of the highlight is the Reunification Palace. There are a few museums worth visiting in HCMC including the National History Museum near to the Zoo, and the War Remnants Museum.
I suggest you buy a DK Eyewitness Vietnam Travel Guide to compliment the Lonely Planet that you already had. It will give you a colourful idea of what to expect when you're in Vietnam.
