We have decided to return to Corfu for the 3rd time next June (2017) after 12 years. They had just gone over to the Euro and most locals were moaning about the higher prices in the shops. We have been to Bulgaria 8 times and Rhodes 3 times since our last visit to Corfu. The main reason to change was cost back then as Bulgaria was far cheaper and Rhodes was suggested by a friend.
We are staying near Glyfada at the Louis Grand on a 14 day AI basis next summer. Last time we were at their Louis Ioanian Beach close to Benitses and it was lovely.
Have read loads of online reports about the Louis Grand and most seem favourable although wasps and mossies seem to be the cause of most problems. We are going early June so if anyone can offer views or advice ta in advance

Hi, we have never fell out with the Greeks, we've just never been to Corfu. That will be the case until the last two weeks in June when we finally arrive in Roda.
Corfu has always been near the top of the list of destinations we wanted to visit but for one reason or another we've ended up elsewhere.
We've been to kephalonia (twice), Halkidiki (twice), Rhodes and Crete (last year) always choosing a slightly quieter resort. Hopefully, we've made the right choice.
We do hope to get out and about, preferably on public transport though may hire a car, with the possibility of return visits to the island in subsequent years at other resorts.
I will probably post again over the coming weeks asking all sorts o questions
