What a shambles BA have made of introducing BOB. Reports galore of only a few rows being served as each transaction takes an age. Also several planes with no BOB at all-including flights from Athens.
BOB was on the cards for a while as they began to make food offerings more and more meagre so that customers might look at BOB as a good thing.
I have not had a flight yet since the introduction ( but i did have the joys of flying out just after T5 opened so I have had my share of pain!). i have a First flight to Las Vegas coming up in April( using a 241) and think that asking First passengers to pay for even tea or coffee on a connecting flight is a bad move and will alienate their most profitable customers.
I then have a CE flight at the end of April to Warsaw and i have been reading poor reviews of that service as cabin crew have been taken from CE to help their colleagues serve in ET. I also have a ET flight to Zakinthos in July and so will no doubt be taking on my own food and drink!
Did you know that it is not illegal ( yet) to drink your own alcohol on BA flights?
Anyone actually experienced a BOB flight yet?

BA have put back the date for ending free food & drink after being threatened with legal action

I can see why BA have introduced BoB on its short haul flights , but has gone about it in a very cacked handed way . As usual "suits " have had a brain wave whilst relaxing in their office done some power point presentations and not thought things through or listened to the lower ranks to see what they think , it's ended up with customers and crew very unhappy about its implementation and the operation of the system it's introduced . On a brighter note , from May the amuse bouche will reappear in the First cabin and the flower will also reappear in the toilet :).
