A week ago I had an email from Thomsons saying there was a supermarket being built next to our hotel in Tenerife, Costa adeje. They state that they knew it was going to happen,just not when but they have ben informes building work is well under way.
We want to get moved to a different hotel or get a full refund to rebook somewhere else.We are dreading this holiday now. We paid up front, all inclusive nearly £1400.
We have emailed 5 times, we have called the number given , constantly, but the same old "call back later" automated answer replies. We have called different number to be told twice, we'll put you through to a manager but it rings for half an hour then cuts off!! I have even emailed the CEO twice but no answer from him either.
We are supposed to fly next wednesday 16th August and just don't know what to do now. Any help whatsover appreciated. Thankyou. x
Companies tend to respond quickly to tweets for some reason. You could also try facebook. Have you checked recent reviews of the hotel? If building work is well underway and its noisey it will be talked about.It may not be as bad as you imagine. Difficult to say what to do if you can't even get a response from them. Its not what you want is it, when a holiday is supposed to be a time to de-stress.
I have messaged them on their facebook and pointed out your post. Hopefully you will get some help!

Thanks Fiona, I finally got an email saying the building work has stopped as they hadn't had a relevant authority permit to start building, fingers crossed they don't get one before we go!!

Take photos & video evidence of any disruption.
This will help should (hopefully not) the building works start up & disturbs your holiday.
