Would you be happy on a self fly plane? Boeing is apparently looking at trialling these next year. It looks like initially companies will have one pilot with the plane possibly being able to be controlled from the ground if something happens to the pilot. Surely completely pilotless planes will be some time off- or restricted to smaller aircraft. I really can't imagine no pilot up front on any plane I am on! I can think of one CEO who would love to do away with pilots!

Not really a problem. Military drones over Syria re controlledfrom here in the UK and not any different really just a little smaller, but they do have bombs and missiles.
Modern aircraft have auto pilots and landing capability. If we are to have driverless cars and trucks why not aircraft?
Of course people will need to be educated to recognise auto pilot and cruise control unlike to woman with the motorhome who set the cruise control then went to make a cupps.
