Certainly was when we went - I felt that some of the "top" restaurants had an inflated view of their quality and definitely charged for the "ambience" -also on the West Coast they are many wealthy Yanks and Brits who don't have the same budgetary constraints as most!!

I would say its reasonable. Its true there are some expensive restaurants and dishes, but for the majority of the things you order, its really tha drinks that will rack up your costs. You can get a feel for some of the prices here.

it is expensive bit i am damn sure that it is not more expensive than buying the grunge attire. believe me they are the most expensive.
