In February 2020 I booked the above coach tour with a local coach operator, Sabrina Travel of Llanidloes, and paid in full via a cheque an amount of £3476.00 for 4 of us. Subsequently the covid-19 pandemic descended on us and the tour had to be cancelled by the operator. I requested a full refund accordingly but the operator procrastinated and eventually asked me to hang on to "see what happens as Sabrina Travel finances precludes us from giving you a refund!" Later in the year he offered us a chance to rebook in 2021 as he intended to "try again" with no added expenses for us! If we couldn't accept this offer we were advised to claim against our travel insurance. We had a Post Office single trip one year policy and they too would not accept our claim. I agreed therefore to wait and see how things developed intending to go this year if we could. Some 3 weeks ago the owner/director of this company passed away suddenly and I do not now know where I stand! Any advice please
